One of the cool things about checking out Good Twitter is that you truly can run into wonderful links all the time. Even if you don't use it for conversation (and you should), there are great links and videos and gifs and all sorts of icebreakers. But even if you were just lurking, a good feed can be enjoyable. And if your feed is bad maybe is time to stop following some people.

The unbearable arrogance of being. On Twitter. To complain about it.

Even thought the metrics-obsessed Media Twitter totally knows that Twitter is not great for referral  traffic for news sites, because, you know, they are looking at their numbers, the Twitterati were nonetheless all sharing an essay in the Atlantic about how Twitter is not that big when it comes to traffic. 

So, just in case, let's be clear about something: If you're only using Twitter to increase web site traffic, you're doing it wrong.

Today we are talking about publishing tweets. Yes, they're public and the terms of service allow anyone to publish them (with embeds, for instance). BUT! Should you do it just because you can?
Publishing tweets augments the audience of a Twitter user. When is it proper to shine a light and publish a tweet? Are there circumstances where it is NOT OK to publish tweets? Do you notify Twitter users before  when you publish their tweets (say, when you Storify them)? Before or after?

Obviously, all your #dfmchat tweets will be published and archived, because irony.

Google+ embedded poss means you can embed Google Glass video posts

Public Google+ posts are embeddable, Google announced on Monday.
This is good. And like embeddable public Facebook posts, this also means that you can now embed Google Glass images posted on that service.
With Google+, now you can embed Google Glass videos as well.

This is very good.

This can have some positive ramifications for news coverage presentation on sites, which is very exciting. It is my aim to explore those possibilities.
There is a caveat, however, and that is that the embedded post is the preview of the video, in the form of an animated gif. Clicking on it takes the very large (!) video.

So it's not quite the whole enchilada, but it's still pretty good.
